Theresienwiese is like a huge fairground, and there is NO admission. But rest assured they charge enough for everything else ;-). You can even get into the tents for free and sit in the "unreserved" sections... IF the tent is not already at capacity limits. So you have to be there early (think 9-10am on weekends and 2pm on weekdays). It varies day to day, and even tent to tent. If you reserve a table, you usually have to pay in advance for 2 beers and a half-chicken per seat, for the whole table (and you can only reserve a whole table!).
